ACP editor Ulrich Pöschl receives Copernicus Medal 2015

22 April 2015

It is our very great honour to announce that our editor Ulrich Pöschl received the Copernicus Medal 2015 in Vienna last week. With this medal, Pöschl’s outstanding and pioneering work on aerosol multiphase chemical processes and aerosol–health interactions is awarded. Even more so, the award explicitly rewards his contributions to open science through interactive open-access publishing and public peer review.

Ulrich Pöschl has been an advocate for open-access publishing for many years. In 2001, Pöschl was among the founding editors of ACP and one of the main drivers for the development of public peer review. He has been chief-executive editor ever since.

We congratulate him on this award.
